Bruno Mars finally rolled out the video for “Versace On The Floor” yesterday (August 13) and it was worth the wait. The visual finds our hero entering his apartment clad, naturally, in Versace. He bumps into his glamorous neighbor in the hallway — played by Zendaya — and manages to seduce her without saying a word. The 31-year-old simply sits at his piano and belts out the song, while his (future) love interest falls in love through the wall and gets her freak on alone. Don’t worry, there’s a happy ending for both of them.
The video has every chance of going viral, which should help “Versace On The Floor” become the third top 10 single from Bruno’s 24K Magic LP. The title track and “That’s What I Like” have both been certified quadruple platinum (he’s the only artist to land two in 2017), so expectations are high for this. And it’s off to a good start with the slinky ballad already racking up more than 150 million streams on Spotify. It’s also benefiting from a David Guetta remix. Watch the belated video up top.
