Nick Jonas returns to his roots on bright, new song, “Home.” He unveiled the release today (October 20), and it is another strong offering from the “Jealous” hitmaker. Taken from the Ferdinand soundtrack, an animated movie dropping this December, the track takes him back to youthful power pop.
After searching for love on his acoustic guitar-laced EDM banger, “Find You,” Nick’s latest is about finding a place where he belongs in the world. “Always out of place, I knew I needed something new for me,” the 25-year-old croons in the opening line. The production works up to a swirling crescendo as he approaches the chorus. “Home. No more running, I’m good knowing that I belong,” he confidently proclaims. The uplifting messaging is sure to fit comfortably into the scope of the film, and Nick’s vocals are predictably strong.
“Home” is Nick’s latest soundtrack offering. Earlier this year he teamed up with Nicki Minaj to contribute the delightfully raunchy “Bom Bidi Bom” to Fifty Shades Darker; however, their collaboration got lost amongst tracks from the likes of Taylor Swift and Zayn Malik. Hopefully this one gets more recognition. Listen to “Home” below.
