I’m completely confused by Dua Lipa’s debut album rollout. The Brit has dropped at least six singles that I’m aware of (I lost count after “Thinking ‘Bout You”) as well as multiple features including Martin Garrix’s “Scared To Be Lonely” and Sean Paul’s“No Lie.” While it’s hard to keep track of all her releases, they all have one thing in common — quality. The same applies to 21-year-old’s new duet with Miguel. “Lost In Your Light” is a starry-eyed love song with slick production courtesy of Rick Nowelsand soaring vocals.
“Hold me, trust me, you know you can hide in my arms all night now,” the surprisingly well-matched collaborators sing. “Hold me, trust me, I’m gonna ride in your love all night.” That leads us to the memorable, sing-along chorus: “Lost in your light, baby (alright), I wanna stay right here all night, baby (alright).” It’s a great song, but will it be lost in the mix like all her other singles? You can listen to “Lost In Your Light” below from midnight tonight. Dua Lipa’s self-titled debut LP is expected to drop on June 2.
