Bebe Rexha caught lighting in a bottle with “Meant To Be.” A collaboration with country duo Florida Georgia Line, the perky track wasn’t originally scheduled to be a single from the pop star’s All Your Fault: Pt. 2 EP. But the song soon took on a life of its own, wreaking havoc on iTunes and Spotify with little promotion. Since being officially rolled out, “Meant To Be” has continued to soar in popularity — cracking the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 and making a little history along the way.
The “I Got You” hitmaker becomes the first female artist to debut at number one on the Hot Country Songs Chart. “Who would of thought a girl from New York City would earn a spot in the history books,” Bebe commented on Instagram. “Truly blessed.” The 28-year-old is turning out to be the queen of the unexpected collaboration, also landing hits with Louis Tomlinson duet “Back To You” and Bright anthem “Home,” which features Machine Gun Kelly and X Ambassadors.
