Christina Aguilera has been working on her highly anticipated eighth studio album since 2012, and it seems like we are finally going to hear it this year. Yesterday (January 22), the 36-year-old took to social media to respond to a message left on her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. In it, a fan expressed their impatience as they wait for new music, and the pop princess responded in turn.
“It’s coming bitches,” she vowed. Last week the hitmaker made a similar promise at Stella McCartney’s fashion launch party. “This is the year I’m going out. Big time,” she told WWD at the event. It is unclear if she is referring to a buzz track, an official single or a full length album, but at this point anything would be welcome.
Although we have heard Xtina promise new music is on the way before, it feels as though she is a little more serious this time around. The “Dirrty” siren recently scrubbed her Instagram of the majority of its content and has been seen in the recording studio with the likes of Mark Ronson.
Pink has confirmed they recorded a duet together, and rumors are building around a Cardi B collaboration. Others who have been tied to the project include Linda Perry, Kanye West and PARTYNEXTDOOR. Hopefully 2018 will be the year all these rumored tracks surface on an official release. Check out the fan’s message and her response below!
