David Guetta giveth and David Guetta taketh away. His remix of Charlie Puth’s hit “Attention” was released Thursday (Aug. 24) and on it the superstar producer takes us for quite the wild ride.
The remix opens with familiar chords in a faster pace, but before it gets to the hook, it makes a quick turn up a mountain made of electricity. Soon, you’re white knuckling it on the dance floor and just when you think the roller coaster will make its drop, the ground falls out from under your feet. You’re left standing under a spotlight, looking around, wondering what happened to the room — then the beat comes back and the cycle begins all over again.
It’s a real trip a remix and the latest in a string of Guetta’s releases this summer and fittingly characterizes the fickle lover at the heart of Puth’s tune.
