Drake and Lil Baby were spotted at the same ATL nightclub over the weekend (May 6), hanging together at Preme’s album release party — with a preview of a collaboration in tow. The 6 God and the emerging Quality Control rapper shared a snippet of the anticipated track, which made its way to social media in a since-deleted Instagram story from Quality Control CEO Pierre «Pee» Thomas.
It’s still unclear if the song will appear on Baby’s Harder Than Ever project, which releases on May 18, or if it’s slated for a cameo on Drizzy’s upcoming Scorpion album in June. Throughout the snippet, Drake can be heard alluding to Atlanta’s Wheezy behind the boards as the track’s producer. «Wheezy produced it and Weezy done made me,» he raps.
Increasing buzz about the tease over the weekend, the «My Dawg» MC teased the idea of a potential collaboration on the horizon with the Toronto native on Twitter early Monday morning (May 7). «Imagine Me And Drake Droppin A Song,» he shrewdly tweeted. With OVO on the side of another alley-oop, Lil Baby’s burgeoning career could be taken to the next level in 2018.
