Demi Lovato spoke for the first time since her recent hospitalization Sunday (Aug. 5), and industry friends and peers were quick to offer words of support in the comments section of her update. In an emotional Instagram post, the singer was candid about facing addiction. «What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet,» she said.
She went on to thank her family, team and the medical professionals who have been helping her, saying, «Without them I wouldn’t be here writing this letter to all of you.»
