Nick Jonas is celebrating fashion with his latest brand deal. Today (January 22) it was revealed that the 25-year-old has partnered with John Varvatos to work as the face of the brand for their Spring/Summer 2018 campaign. He will also design a limited-edition collection of clothing. Their collaborative collection will be launched under a joint label, JV x NJ, and it is said to personify the bold spirit of rock and the city of Detroit.
“The process in working with Nick is amazing,” Varvatos said in a press release. “He’s a musician, he’s an artist, he’s an actor, he’s intrigued by everything in the world and I had a real connection with that. It’s inspiring to be around someone who is not only connected with the trade that they do, but also with what’s happening in the environment around him, and how that connects to what we do with style… We’re working together on a number of things, first he’s going be the face of our campaign, and then we’ve collaborated on a series of items for the spring season, and we had a great time doing it together.”
The “Find You” crooner was equally excited by the opportunity and opened up about his quick friendship with Varvatos. “The human connection was so real because the friendship evolved in such a natural way, the next step was trying to make something great together. Beyond just fashion and music and the tie in there, we’re thinking big picture about how do we influence the world in some way.”
JV x NJ will be available on the brand’s website. Several items have already made it to the site including a leather jacket and a variety of T’s and hoodies. It is refreshing to see Nick flex his creative abilities in a different way. The hitmaker is hard at work on his latest album, but this will give his fans something to check out while he works on a new single.
