Valentine’s Day just got a lot more exciting. Paris Hilton has been working on her highly anticipated sophomore album, and our first taste of new music is right around the corner. Yesterday (February 7), the 36-year-old announced plans to unveil a single called “I Need You” on the lover’s holiday during an interview with E! News. Inspired by her fiancé, Chris Zylka, the track is sure to be a massive pop moment from the superstar socialite.
Fans were quick to point out that a demo of Paris singing a track called “I Need You” surfaced in 2010 and has existed on YouTube since then. “Babe I love you so much so I wrote you this song. I need you,” she coos on the opening line. The saccharine, doo-wop-inspired production is a bit of a sonic switch-up from the candy-coated EDM buzz tracks she has released recently so it is possible the “Stars Are Blind” siren has another track with the same title up her sleeve.
Hopefully “I Need You” is more than a festive one-off and becomes the lead single to Paris’ full-length project. Last August she hinted the album was almost complete, and it could be dropping in 2018. EDM’s most relevant DJ has been chipping away at her sophomore LP since at least 2013 when she dropped “Good Time.” She followed that up with another bop called “Come Alive” in 2014 and then rebranded with the grittier “High Off My Love” in 2015. With any luck, her latest will be another infectious bop. Check out her official announcement below!
