Shawn Mendes delighted fans by posting a shirtless Instagram pic. Not only did the vacation snap (he’s currently soaking up the sun in Jamaica) show off the pop star’s famous abs, it also contained an exciting message: “Album come soon.” While that isn’t much to go on, the timing makes sense. The 19-year-old has been dropping yearly releases — reissues included — since the arrival of Handwritten in 2015. That means we’re due for something new, sooner rather than later.
The Canadian crooner confirmed his status as one of pop’s brightest stars with sophomore LP, Illuminate, racking up his second consecutive number one album on the Billboard 200. The era delivered three major hits including two top 10s (“Treat You Better” and “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back”).
