These are the top 40 ‘biggest’ albums of 2018 so far

After passing the halfway point of 2018, the top 40 biggest selling albums of the year so far have been revealed.

It should come as no surprise that the runaway success of the soundtrack to ‘The Greatest Showman’ sees it sitting comfortably atop the list, but there are also high rankings from new albums from George Ezra, Post Malone and Arctic Monkeys.

As the Official Charts Company reports, ‘The Greatest Showman’ has shifted a massive 931,000 copies across physical and digital  combined with streaming equivalent sales.  In at the second highest-selling is Ed Sheeran with ‘Divide’, having sold a massive 346,000 in 2018 alone, having also topped 2017’s chart.

George Ezra’s ‘Staying at Tamara’ third biggest album so far yet the highest-selling album that was released in 2018 with sales of 273,000. The top five is completed by Dua Lipa’s self-titled 2017 debut with 158,000 copies sold, and Post Malone in at No.5 with ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys record shifting 152,000 copies.

The top five best-selling albums that were release in 2018 sees Ezra joined by Post Malone, Arctic Monkeys, Kylie Malone and Camila Cabello. Check out both lists below.
