On your mark, ready, set, let’s go! Will Smith and James Corden are taking to the road in the new Carpool Karaoke series for Apple Music.
The pair started things off by jamming out to “Getting Jiggy With It,” before Corden interrupted Smith in the middle of his pig Latin verse.
“It feels like it’s such a big tune. I feel like we need more. I’ve actually been working on this new surround sound system,” Corden insisted.
The British late night host then brought out a full marching band to perform with Smith as the pair of funnyman climbed out of the car’s sunroof to continue singing the song.
Corden also asked Smith about his start as a rapper.
“I wrote my first rhyme when I was 12,” Smith said. “It never got released. The first one that got released, I was 16, ‘Girls Ain’t Nothing But Trouble.’ I had a record on the radio for the last 30 days as a senior. You cannot beat your friends in high school knowing you have a hit record on the radio.”
And while Corden and Smith had fun spitting lyrics “Big Willie Style,” they weren’t the only celebs involved in the new spin-off series.
The extended trailer also showed Game of Thrones stars Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner belting out Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball,” Gwyneth Paltrow, Jessica Alba, and will.i.am rocking to “It Takes Two,” Ariana Grande and Seth MacFarlane embracing their inner Broadway stars singing “Suddenly Seymour” from Little Shop of Horrors.
Other stars to perform in the series include Chelsea Handler, Blake Shelton, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Billy Eichner, LeBron James, John Cena, Taraji P. Henson, Shaquille O’Neal, Jada Pinkett Smith, Queen Latifah, Miley Cyrus and the whole Cyrus family, Joe Jonas, Camila Cabello, and more.
