Dominican-born rapper Cardi B pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor charges; third-degree assault and reckless endangerment of two sisters at a strip club in Queens three years ago for allegedly sleeping with her husband Offset.
Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, the artist’s first name, will have to perform 15 days of community service and stay away from the two sisters she assaulted.
«Part of growing up and maturing is being responsible for your actions. As a mother, it’s a practice I’m trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me. I have made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and acknowledge. These moments do not define me and do not reflect who I am now. I’m looking forward to getting through this with my family and friends and getting back to the things I love most: music and my fans,» said the music star.
Cardi threw a bong and two bottles of champagne at two waitress sisters and ordered her crew to attack them for allegedly sleeping with her rapper husband, Offset, the New York Post reported.
The rapper appeared in court with two co-defendants, who also pleaded guilty to their roles. All three agreed to stay away from the two victims.
