    Matthew McConaughey Doesn’t Give a »F–k» to Anything, he just enjoy his work.

    Matthew McConaughey might have played nearly 50 characters in different movies throughout his life and an Oscar may be sitting pretty on a shelf in his Malibu mansion, but he’s still going to keep doing those cheesy car commercials.Yes, the 46-year-old actor covers the latest issue of Esquire magazine and gives the middle finger to anyone who questions why an Oscar-winning actor is doing ads for Lincoln vehicles.

    «F–k that,» he quips. «Because I’m going to. And I like ‘em. And they pay well. And they allow me to go and do these other little movies for a lot less.»

    And that right there pretty much proves why he’s unique in the acting world.In fact, McConaughey says one of the reasons he’s so proud of his Oscar is that, despite not having a history in theater and never being able to fit into the thespian world, he’s finally respected for his work.

    «I didn’t grow up acting. I don’t enjoy thespian, Hamlet-ian talks,» he admits. «I was the first frat boy in the University of Texas film school who wore button-down denim shirts, boots, and a buckle when all the Gothic artists were all in black. I went to see the big Hollywood pictures at the cineplex that everyone else in film class shat on.»He continued, «For a while I thought maybe you really do need to wear all black and stay out of the sunlight and only see independent films to be an artist. I still have moments with acting where I’m like, I’m getting away with it. Winning the Oscar was validation, the respect of my peers.»

    But aside from his career and his car commercials, McConaughey plays another very important role in his life: family man.The actor proposed to Camila Alves after dating for for five years, admitting he was never really sure about the whole marriage thing and why «signing a document» could ever mean anything.

    However, he realized he was ready to get down on one knee after they welcomed their first two children into the world, bought a second house and spoke to a pastor who made him see marriage in a new light.

    McConaughey still clearly remembers the day he popped the question in 2011. «I remember hitting the knee, looking into her eyes, and I remember her face,» he recalled. «I remember this smile coming up from her feet. I remember her having to catch her breath.»

    Alves didn’t say yes right away, however, and McConaughey said, «The whole family was going, ‘Jeezus, she’s gonna say no.'»She said yes, and the two wed in 2012. They now have three children together, whom McConaughey admits have turned him into a real man.

    «Out comes this screaming little life with a pair of balls,» he joked of his eldest son’s birth in 2008. «Man is never more masculine than after the birth of his first child,» he continued. «I don’t mean in a macho way. I mean in terms of giving a man strength.»
