We’ve watched the teaser trailer and scrolled through movie stills of the live-action remake of Beauty and the Beast, but we finally have the most official thing to date: the first official poster!Yes, Emma Watson (who plays Belle in the flick) took to Facebook to share the imagery with her fans and followers for the first time. «So happy I get to show all of you the new teaser poster for Beauty and the Beast,» she wrote. «You are the very first people to see this! I hope you like it. Love, Emma x»
The poster encapsulates all the magical feelings the movie brings its viewers, featuring Belle and the Beast (Dan Stevens) dancing in a spotlight filled with purple and blue hues that seem to sparkle in their presence.
The new teaser comes just a few days after Disney released an abundance of movie stills from the film last week, and they’re just as breathtaking as the poster.
From Watson and Stevens’ appearance to the phenomenal re-imagining of the Beast’s library to the costumes and the set design, everything is even more amazing than we imagined. However, there are a few tweaks between the live-action film and the original movie. For example, Watson said she re-envisioned Belle’s appearance slightly.
«My Belle is very practical,» the actress told Entertainment Weekly last week. «In the movie she wears these little ballet shoes, and I knew they had to go. If you’re going to ride your horse and tend your garden and fix machinery, then you need to be in proper boots.»
