Louis Tomlinson released the video for his latest single «Don’t Let It Break Your Heart» on Monday (Dec. 2).
Directed by Charlie Lightening, the clip stars the One Direction singer enjoying a night out, playing soccer and drinking at a pub.
The situation turns dark when one of his friends is approached by a character portrayed by British actor Geoff Bell, who threatens the group into carrying out a heist. Tomlinson is then seen driving the getaway car after his friends, clad in masks, dangerously steal duffle bags of money.
However, the story has a happy ending. In a moment that appears to be symbolic of the singer’s healing, the friend who was threatened fakes his death, escapes the heist leader, and emotionally reunites with his lover.
An ode to persevering through difficult times, «Don’t Let It Break Your Heart» is the fourth single to be released off of Tomlinson’s upcoming debut album Walls, which is set to drop on Jan. 31, 2020.
