Every year, queer people from around the world gather in Palm Springs, Calif., to dance the night away at Jeffrey Sanker’s now-legendary White Party Palm Springs. And this year, it looks like they’ll be getting down to none other than Meghan Trainor.
On Tuesday (March 3), it was announced that Trainor will headline Sanker’s 31st annual White Party Palm Springs. The singer will take the stage Sunday, April 26 at T-Dance, the circus-themed dance party at the weekend’s end that will also include «feats of strength, wild animals, spectacular stunts, and a breathtaking fireworks display,» according to the event’s official website.
In a statement to People, Trainor expressed her excitement at the prospect of getting to headline the iconic LGBTQ event. «YAAAAAS! I’m so excited to be headlining White Party Palm Springs!» she said. «It’s my first time and it’s a dream come true! I can’t wait to dance with everyone!»
White Party Palm Springs will take place from April 24 to April 27 and includes other musical guests like Todrick Hall, RuPaul’s Drag Race star Nina Flowers and a number of up-and-coming DJs from around the world. Past headliners of Sanker’s event have included stars like Lady Gaga, Mary J. Blige, Ariana Grande and many more.
