Selena Gomez’s long-rumored collaboration with Marshmello finally has a title and an official release date. “Wolves” drops October 25 (i.e. next Wednesday) according to a couple of tweets the pop star fired off this afternoon. She also shared two pictures with the bucket-wearing DJ including one with her own personalized headgear. This will be the 25-year-old’s first single since undergoing a kidney transplant, which stopped her from promoting summer singles “Bad Liar” and “Fetish.”
It will be interesting to hear how the collaboration turns out. If Marshmello’s discography is anything to go by, expect a euphoric banger with a distinct pop sensibility. The mystery hitmaker has already worked a with a number of pop’s leading ladies (Noah Cyrus lent her voice to “Chasing Colors,” while Tinashe features on “Freal Luv”). He also has a hit on his hands with “Silence,” a collaboration with Khalid. See Selena’s tweets below.
