Cardi B is the latest guest to appear on the rapid 73 Questions segment for Vogue, which was released Tuesday (Nov. 19). The interview takes place at Cardi’s grandmother’s modest home in Washington Heights, while she holds a napping baby Kulture. Cardi hits on motherhood, the music industry and her album and even Facetimes Offset for a quick chat.
As far as her heavily anticipated sophomore LP, Cardi says the 2020 effort will be «spicy» and «controversial.» She previously told Billboard that the album is on her mind «24/7» and she won’t be following the current trends in rap. «I still gotta go with what I want to do,» Cardi said earlier this month.
Cardi B has evolved into a style icon in music, as she stays draped in designer at all times. When it comes to her early fashion inspirations, the 27-year-old pointed to Missy Elliott, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga and Rihanna as those she would give credit for paving the way.
She also opened up about how her dream of being a mom kept her motivated to keep pushing and on a straight path in life. «In order for me to spoil my child for the rest of my life, I have to have money and make money for the rest of my life,» Cardi shared.
It’s no secret Cardi B vehemently opposes President Trump, as she’s aligned herself with 2020 hopeful Bernie Sanders. If she had one question for Trump, she would ask, «If you don’t love every American citizen, why become president?»
